Layout FlagChristopher M. Bonnstetter, age 77 of Plover, passed away Tuesday June 3, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral Services for Chris will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 7, 2014 at New Hope Community Church in Junction City.  Pastor Brian Berg will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:45 AM Saturday prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the Runkel Cemetery.  A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established.
Chris was born September 1, 1936 in Lots Creek, IA, the son of Michael and Lena (Striet) Bonnstetter.  As a child the family moved to Slayton, MN.  Chris graduated from Slayton High School in 1955.He entered the United States Air Force and served his country for 2 years.  Chris married Ionne Johnson in July 30, 1960 in Minnesota.   He graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology.  The family moved to area in 1972.  He was a career computer technician, retiring in 1999 from Wood County.  He and his wife operated a hobby farm in Portage County for many years.  His wife Ionne pased away in 1997.  Chris married Jennifer Pray in 1998 in Stevens Point.  Chris was an avid hunter, golfer, gardener, and enjoyed playing pool at the Lincoln Center.
Chris is survived by his wife Jennifer Pray, Plover.  5 children:  Julia (Scott) Buchberger, Portage; Joseph (Karen) Bonnstetter, Woodville; Jennifer (Tom) Falkavage, TX; Elizabeth Bonnstetter-Kluck, Stevens Point; Rebekah (Elias) Oquendo, TX.  10 grandchildren. 1 brother: James (Marion) Bonnstetter, 2 sisters: Hilda Grieme, MN and Stella (Charles) Swanson, MN.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ionne, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
