Five years ago Q Gallery Artists Cooperative became a presence on Main Street in Stevens Point and a wonderful venue for local artists and patrons.

Commemorating that event, the artists of Q Gallery have decided to celebrate with a special exhibit. The Q Anniversary show, “Brought to You by the Letter Q”, will open on July 1st and continue through September 6th. All Q artists, past and present, have been invited to create special pieces of art which include the letter Q in some manner. It might be hidden or obvious, literal or figurative, whimsical or serious.

As a special addition to this exhibit, Q Artists will be collaborating with local Master Gardeners who will create floral arrangements inspired by selected works of “Letter Q” art and display them at Q Gallery. “Art Bloom at the Q” will occur in conjunction with the Garden Parade which takes place on July 11-12.  Hours for “Art Bloom at the Q” are Friday July 11 from noon -7:30, Saturday July 12 from 10-6, and Sunday July 13 from 11-3. Tickets for the Garden Parade will be available at Q, although the Gallery is always open to the public without charge.

The Artists’ Reception for this exhibit will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, July 11 while the floral arrangements are still in place and is also open to the public.  Come join us for a visual arts treat, some music, and a bite of anniversary cake.

Q Gallery Artists Cooperative is located at 1108 Main Street in downtown Stevens Point. Gallery hours are 10-6 Tuesday-Saturday, 11-3 Sunday, closed Monday. More information is available online at qartists.com or call the Gallery during business hours at 715-345-2888.
