Delores M. Garski, age 77 of Rosholt, passed away with her family at her side, after a 10 year journey with breast cancer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Delores will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt. Rev. Gregory Michaud will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:30 – 10:45 AM at the church prior to services.
Delores was born January 23, 1937 in Shantytown, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Grulkowski) Singer. She graduated from P.J.Jacobs High School. Delores married Felix Garski Jr. on October 1, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – Torun. The couple settled in Stevens Point and later moved to Rosholt. She worked full-time at Joerns Health Care for many years and after retirement went to work part-time at Gene’s IGA in Rosholt. Delores was a member of the Rosholt American Legion Auxiliary, and liked fishing, knitting, deer hunting, shooting pool, gardening, and gambling. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoyed a piwo (beer) with her family and friends and Sunday brunch with friends.
Delores is survived by her 4 children: Lonnie Garski, Stevens Point; Randy Garski, Rosholt; Russ (Anita) Garski, Rosholt; Karen (Chuck) Zdroik, Rosholt. 7 grandchildren: Kelly Garski, Nathan Garski, Evan, Logan and Aubrey Garski, Kyle and Quin Zdroik. One great grandson: George Garski. One brother Norbert (Loretta) Singer, Custer and one sister Henrietta Hintz, Stevens Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Felix in 2010, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
