For the City-Times
As part of Mental Health Month observance this past May The Suicide Prevention/Mental Health Awareness Coalition of Portage County organized their third annual “Ribbons of Hope Campaign.”
Ribbons were available at area Walgreens and the BP on Hwy 10/39.
The campaign provided an opportunity to create an awareness of mental health within our community with contributions from the campaign totaling $704.82. Contributions were also made by SPASH and Community Care of Central Wisconsin.
Funds raised will be used to promote services in Portage County related to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. We hope that this campaign continues to grow over the years.
