Erma M. Coddington, age 87, of Balsam Lake, WI died May 20, 2014 at Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, WI.

Erma was born January 4, 1927 to the late Robert James & Margery J. (Church) Frost at St Michaels Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She grew up there, attended the local schools and graduated from PJ Jacobs High School. She also attended one year at Harding College in Arkansas.

Erma married Carl H. Coddington on December 22, 1945 in Stevens Point, WI. They were happily married for over 68 years.

Erma loved her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, boating, and shooting pool.

Survivors include her husband, Carl H. Coddington of Balsam Lake; son, Dan R. Coddington of Balsam Lake; son, Don R ( Judy) Coddington of Balsam Lake; brother, Garth Frost of Rudolph; brother, Roger L. (Jean) Frost of Plainfield; brother, James Robert (Lynn) Frost of Fontana; sister, Betty (Lesley “Jeff”) Jeffcoat of Lubbock, TX; sister-in-law, Delores Frost, wife of Theron Frost. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Erma is preceded in death by her father, Robert James Frost; mother, Margery J. (Church) Frost; brother, Theron “Pete” Frost; sister, Marion (Frost) Bowker and husband Galen Bowker of Norfork AK; sister-in-law, Marjorie L. Frost, wife of Roger L. Frost of Plainfield; sister-in-law, Mary Frost, wife of Garth Frost of Rudolph; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Boston Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Crandall officiating. Visitation will also be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
