National Weather Service: Chance of Severe Storms All Week

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the entire Stevens Point and surrounding area for most of Tuesday. 

Conditions are right for severe storms, large hail and flash floods. Check back for the latest in Stevens Point weather updates.

The initial forecast for the Stevens Point Area follows:

  • Today Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11 am, then a slight chance of showers between 11 am and 1 pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Southwest wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • Tonight Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 9 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind 5 to 9 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Thursday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. East southeast wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Friday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Friday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
  • Saturday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 78.
  • Saturday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.
  • Sunday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 75.
  • Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.
  • Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
