Shankland to Present Green Energy Workshop at Energy Fair

Assemblywoman Katrina Shankland announced on Wednesday she will be presenting a workshop on Friday at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association’s 25th Annual Energy Fair.
Shankland is a member of the Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities and an author of the Wisconsin Renewable Energy Act, a piece of legislation which raises Wisconsin’s renewable standard and promote investment in local renewable energy generation. Her workshop, Advancing Green Energy Policy in a Purple State, will look back at Wisconsin’s energy policy shift in the last three years and discuss legislative and community efforts to advance renewable energy policy.
The 2014 Energy Fair will take place from June 20-22 at the MREA’s Renew the Earth Institute, 7558 Deer Road, in Custer. Shankland will present her workshop in the White Tent on Friday, June 20 at 5 PM.
