Braden Christopherson reaches second base safely during a 13U baseball game on Miller Field at Zenoff Park in Stevens Point Friday evening.  The Stevens Point Panthers 13U team won thier opening game beating Kimberly.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the park playing on Miller Field Jacob Ludwig fields the ball at second base for the Stevens Point Pointers 13U team.  The Pointers dropped their opening game of the tournament losing to Fond du Lac.

The Stevens Point Youth Baseball Association is hosting two tournaments this weekend. The SPYBA 13U tourney opened play Friday night at Zenoff Park and will play all day Saturday with championship games scheduled for Sunday.  The Bruce Berry Memorial Tournament for 14U and 15U players also opened with play Friday night and continues Saturday and Sunday.  14U games are scheduled to be played at University Field with the 15U teams playing at Bukolt Park.  Some games are also scheduled for Lower Whiting Park.
