Lincoln Center offers classes and activities for older adults.

The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Portage County is a one-stop resource for services for seniors, adults with disabilities, their families and caregivers. Open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For information call 715-346-1401 or 1-866-920-2525, or on the Web: www.co.portage.wi.us/adrc.

The ADRC Nutrition Program serves noon lunch at these dining sites and days: Lincoln Center (Mon. – Fri.), Hi-Rise Manor (Mon. – Fri.), Jensen Center in Amherst (Mon., Wed., Fri.), Plover Municipal Center (Tues., Thurs.), Junction City Village Park Lodge (Tues., Thurs.), and Faith Lutheran Church in Rosholt (Mon. – Fri.)

Basic Computer Training teaches seniors the basics of using a computer. Participants will start at the most basic level and work at their own pace, learning how to use the mouse and keyboard, getting onto the internet, and using email. These classes, taught by an instructor from Senior Citizens Employment, are small – no more than four people. Free. Call 715-346-1401 for more information or to register for the class.

This week’s RSVP volunteer opportunity:

Portage County Nutrition Program Home Delivered Meals Program is seeking volunteers to deliver meals to seniors in the community. The time commitment is about 1.5 hours midday and volunteers can choose to deliver weekly, monthly or on a substitute basis; drivers will use their own vehicle. Please call the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 715-346-1401 for more information.
