For the City-Times

Sentry Insurance is launching a large-scale recruiting initiative to hire up to 75 full and part-time employees for SentryWorld.

A wide variety of positions are available, from restaurant and banquet staff jobs like dishwashers, servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers and assistant managers, to golf guest services opportunities like rangers, starters and food and beverage, bag drop and golf shop attendants. The recruiting initiative is currently underway. Those interested can apply online at https://jobs.sentry.com/SentryCareers.htm?jobid=114964. The application deadline is July 12, 2014; interviews will be conducted the week of July 14, 2014.

“It’s an exciting time here at SentryWorld,” said Mike James, general manager of SentryWorld. “Now is the time for those with the right skill sets to come join our team and help us create a one-of-a-kind SentryWorld experience for all of our future guests.”

SentryWorld, which originally opened in 1982, has been closed for extensive renovation since 2013.

“The new SentryWorld will be a place that the community of Stevens Point and surrounding areas will be proud of,” said James. “It will be a place where people will enjoy world-class golf, great food and entertaining events and where everyone will feel comfortable and welcome. A big part of that experience comes from hiring the right talent.”
