Layout-FlagAnthony Jablonski, age 70 of Stevens Point, passed away at Trinity Assisted Living in Madison on June 25, 2014, after an extended illness.

Funeral services for Anthony will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 25, 2014 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. Deacon Art Schaller will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be after the service at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel until the time of services.

Anthony was born September 2, 1943 in Appleton, the son of Anton and Stella (Wrycha) Jablonski. As a child the family moved to Stevens Point and Anthony attended local schools. He served his country in the United States Army from October 24, 1961 until being honorably discharged April 8, 1963. He served as a PFC in Munich, Germany. After being discharged, he returned to the area and began working at the Plover – Whiting Paper Mill, where he worked for 16 years. He was president of the Credit Union. Anthony married Carol Schmidt on September 17, 1966 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wausau. The couple owned and managed four rental properties, during Anthony’s working career. Anthony served as a head custodian for the Stevens Point School District from 1987 until his retirement in 2003. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling.

Anthony is survived by his wife Carol and their son Timothy of Stevens Point. His grandson Andrew Jablonski also of Stevens Point and his brother-in-law Maurice Eiden of Wausau. He was preceded in death bu his parents; four sisters: Susan, Jean Ann, Dorothy, and Kathleen. 2 brothers: Victor and Richard, and his half brother Lawrence.
