Rockman’s Catering was named as the Plover Area Business Association (PABA) 2014 Business of the Year at the recent PABA annual dinner.
As a near life-long resident of the area, Scott Rockman has long recognized the ‘generous nature’ of central Wisconsin and this fact has fueled his own passions to ‘give back’ to the community in unique ways that capitalize on his talented staff and expertise in food preparation and service.
As a result, Rockman’s has often cooperated with in-kind’ donation efforts for groups like the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, the Central Rivers Farmshed, Portage County Teen Lead-ership, Junior Achievement, Empty Bowls Portage County and numerous others. “Sometimes what can be given back, in ‘in-kind’ fashion: time, talent and expertise can be even better than a cash contribution,” notes Scott.
Known as “Central Wisconsin’s Most Requested and Most Respected Caterer”, Rockman’s Ca-tering has serviced group catering needs since 1985 when Scott Rockman began his business, op-erating out of his house. Humble with his business continued growth over the years, Rockman subscribes to the adage, “Success is a journey, not a destination!” Today Rockman’s has grown to utilize the 4,000 square foot production kitchen on Plover Springs Drive in preparing over 100,000 meals per year by a team of over 50 employees.
The Rockman operation firmly believes that the only thing equally important as exceptional ser-vice is quality and selection of food; including special care and professional service on each and every catering event.
The Portage Area Business Association (PABA) consists of nearly 200 area business members, dedicated to ‘foster and advance the business and community interests throughout the greater Plover area’.
