Nominations Sought for Honorary Breast Cancer Survivor in 5th Annual Central Wisconsin Race For The Cure
For the City-Times
The Central Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure will host the Fifth Annual Race for the Cure in downtown Wausau on August 10, 2014. Historically, one of the most inspirational moments on race day is hearing the Honorary Survivor share his or her story.
As in past years, the public has a unique opportunity to honor a breast cancer survivor from Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Taylor, Wood, or West Shawano County by submitting nominations recognizing a person who has shown inspiring courage and strength as they have faced and fought breast cancer.
Nominees must be comfortable sharing details of their stories with the media in order to raise awareness about breast cancer. If selected, the nominee will be prominently featured as a representative of the Affiliate on Race day as well as at events during Race week.
All Honorary Survivor Nominees are invited to the Central Wisconsin Race for the Cure appreciation event, which will be held in the Jefferson Ballroom at the Jefferson Street Inn on Thursday, July 24, 2014. The 2014 Komen Central Wisconsin Honorary Survivor will be announced during the evening.
To nominate a special person who is an inspiration you, please complete the New Balance Honorary Survivor Nomination Form (also attached) and e-mail it to [email protected] by July 17, 2014.
The Central Wisconsin Race for the Cure Honorary Survivor program has been generously sponsored by New Balance.
