Town of Hull residents can expect an update Monday on the progress of construction at the municipal building, which began earlier this year.
Leaders from the Town of Hull say they’ve budgeted $580,000 for remodeling the municipal building, as well as provide upgrades for the outdated structure.
The Town Board in February approved borrowing $600,000 for the project, leaving a small amount for contingency.
Town Chairman John Holdridge said the remodeled building will be able to hold 150 people, compared with the old capacity of 50.
Fond du Lac-based SCS Builders was been hired for the project.
Town of Hull Board Member Dave Pederson said the SCS Builders had to thaw the ground to begin work in early 2014, following a harsh winter.
The project also includes adding new furniture, office equipment and computers.
Town leaders have been operating in the building and the office has remained open for the public, though the front access doors have been closed for safety reasons.
The meeting begins at 5:30 PM on Monday, July 7 at the municipal building, 4550 Wojcik Memorial Drive. The public is welcome.
