On Monday, June 30th, students from Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Hall’s Creative Arts classes visited the Stevens Point Sculpture Park, located on the Green Circle Trail in the north side of Stevens Point.
During their visit, students viewed the park’s many sculptures and learned about the various artists whose work adorns this park. Guides Mary Zinda and Faye Miller helped the students learn through question and discussion sessions at various sculptures throughout the park.
Students were also able to add peace flags they created to the 700+ flags which already hang in the park.
The trip helped students open their minds to the various techniques, styles, mediums and visual appeal the park offers for the public viewing.
