A kind, gentle soul has found his way home. Patrick A. “Pat” Iwanski, 85, of Plover, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.

He was born on March 17, 1929, in Amherst, to the late Frank and Mary (Trzebiatowski) Iwanski. He married Eleanor Literski on February 18, 1950, and they had 64 wonderful years together.

After marrying, Pat worked for Rundle Foundry in Milwaukee. He later moved back to the area, settling in Plover. Pat was employed by Ben Trzinski Farms, Howe Silo and lastly worked for Local 804 Carpenters Union for 14 years, retiring in 1991.

Family was very important to Pat, and he was proud of the accomplishments of his sons. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, gardening (he had a green thumb) and gambling. He was also a big Packers and Brewers fan.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor of Plover; son, Myron (Kari) Iwanski of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and their children, Renee (Richard) Hicks also of Oak Ridge, Stephanie (Marc Dysart) Iwanski of Denver, Colorado, and Carmen Iwanski also of Denver; son, Dale (Carla) Iwanski of Stevens Point, and their son, Curt Iwanski of Amherst Junction; son, Randy (Carolyn) Iwanski of Stevens Point, and their children, Amanda (Mike) Kaczmarek of Stevens Point, and Jill Iwanski of Madison; daughter-in-law, Betsy Iwanski of Plover, and her daughters Jenna (Mike) Murphy of Colona, Illinois, and Heidi (fiancee Jeremiah King) Iwanski of Davenport, Iowa; and great-grandchildren, Joshua Patrick and Zachary Hicks, Norah Dysart, and Trenton Kaczmarek.

Pat is further survived by his siblings: Alois (Jan) Iwanski, Rita (Albert) Gostomski, Lucille (Bob) Koback, Frank (Lois) Iwanski and Maynard (Betty) Iwanski; and sisters-in-law, Irene Iwanski and Rita Iwanski.

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his son, Mark; and siblings, Norbert, Richard, Eugene and Bill Iwanski and Marge Reddy.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover with the Rev. Clayton Elmhorst officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. For online condolences, please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
