Portage County Executive Patty Dreier will deliver her fifth State of the County address on Tuesday, July 15th at 5 PM.
Dreier will give her remarks during the July meeting of the Portage County Board, held in board chambers on the second floor of the courthouse.
In a statement, Dreier, known for her environmental advocacy, said her address will focus on “groundwater stewardship”, and she hopes the meeting is well-attended.
The County Board is also expected on Tuesday to approve several resolutions, including revisions to health insurance for county employees; supporting a statewide wolf population of 350 of less; formal opposition to a state- level lapse in circuit court funding; acceptance of a performance- based DOT road maintenance pilot program; and approving a contract with the Stevens Point School District for the county’s Meals in Bulk for Senior Nutrition Program.
The Portage County Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5 PM. The public is welcome.
