County Seeks District 2 Supervisor

Portage County is seeking a representative of the county’s second district to fill the remaining term left open by Joanne Suomi.
Residents of the second district who are at least 18 years old can apply for the spot by contacting Portage Co. Clerk Shirley Simonis at the clerk’s office in the courthouse, 1516 Church Street, or by calling 715-346-1351. Applicants must live in the City of Stevens Point and within wards 4, 5, 9, 32 or 34.
Application deadline is July 24.
For more information on the duties relating to the position of Portage Co. Board Supervisor go to www.co.portage.wi.us. Board Supervisors are paid $50 per board meeting and $45 per committee meeting attended.
Suomi resigned last month for health reasons.
