Kay was proud of her Irish and Newfoundland heritages and loved Irish songs and verses. She could recite and/or sing most of them but her favorites were “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and “Danny Boy”. She always celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and celebrated it with pride.

She worked in retail selling cosmetics for almost 45 years and excelled in her trade. The consumate Mother and Grandmother, she dedicated herself to her family especially her sons, James and Ronald.

Kay is survived by her sons, Jim (Karen) of Lake Oswego, OR, Ron (Anita) of Bend, OR; four grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Mary Hickey; her husband, Joseph J. Kutella; two sisters & five brothers.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Visitation will preceded the Funeral Mass from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service in St. Bartholomew Catholic Cemetery.

Online condolences may be made at www.bostonfuneralhome.net.

The family would like to express special appreciation to Pat Meronek, Kelly Pliska and staff at Maple Ridge and Marcia McDonald and the staff at Oakridge Community for their friendship, dedication and professional service.
