Helen A. Phillip, age 86, of Stevens Point, died Sunday July 20, 2014, at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Plover. Helen was born on February 11, 1928, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Charles & Martha (Wanta) Zurawski.  She attended local schools and graduated from St. Joseph Academy.

Her marriage to Maurice Phillip took place on April 14, 1951, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, after the marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband Maurice died on December 10, 2010.

Helen worked for the Clerk of Courts and Hardware Mutual retiring in 1987.

She was a member of the St. Annes Society.

She enjoyed sewing, watching baseball especially the Chicago Cubs and softball. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Tom) Jablonski of Stevens Point and Margaret (Mike) Gagas of Plover. Seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed Zurawski and Al Wanta.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday July 23, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
