Police Looking for Suspect in BP Robbery

Stevens Point police today are looking for a man suspected of robbing south side BP Monday night.
An employee of the BP gas station, 3209 Church Street, told police at approximately 9:35 PM, a single white male entered the store and demanded cash from the register. The suspect was described as approximately 6 feet tall with short blonde hair and wore a black hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans, with sun glasses, partially covering his face.
The employee told police the man did not brandish a weapon but did have his hand in his pocket, implying a threat. The suspect left the store southbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Departments K-9 unit was called and assisted in a tracking attempt.
