Drunk, Underage and Thieving:  A 17 year-old boy was arrested at 1:44 AM after police say he stole a vehicle while drunk from the 1100 block of Washington Avenue. He faces charges of auto theft and operating while intoxicated.

Property Crime: A 67 year-old woman called police to report someone caused damage to her yard and fence at 11:35 AM. Estimated value of damage was not immediately available.

Minor Crash: Two men, ages 45 and 54, called police to report they’d had a fender bender in a parking lot on Harding Avenue at 12:18 PM. No injuries or major damage were reported.

Five Day Warning: A 22 year-old woman was given a 5- day warning for having an expired license and was also cited for not having insurance during a 6:43 PM traffic stop at Highway 10 and County Trunk K.

Mailbox Fatality: A 27 year-old woman reported someone damaged the mailbox at her 5th Street home in Almond at 8:35 PM. Value of damage is unknown.

Doggie in Danger: A 60 year-old man reported a dog was hanging out of a partially broken second story window of a County Trunk J home in Almond at 8 PM. No further information is available.

Robbery: Portage County Sheriff K-9 Baco was called in to assist with locating a robbery suspect after the BP gas station on Church Street was robbed. Stevens Point police say an undisclosed amount of money was taken around 9:35 PM and say the suspect was not armed.

July 19

Failure to Stop: An 18 year-old woman was cited with failing to stop at a stop sign at 9:42 AM after deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Church Road and Highway BB in Almond.

Crashed into a Garage: Police were called after a 23 year-old man crashed into a garage at 12:13 AM, causing $250 in damages. Whether or not the man was intoxicated is not yet known.

Icy Delivery: A 53 year-old woman called police at 8:39 PM to report she discovered a bag of melted ice inside the mailbox of her Maria Drive home.
