As the summer is almost half way done, we know that those nice summer days will soon become few and far between.  Therefore, we want to encourage this community to take advantage of being active and enjoying the stunning view of the summer days here in Portage County while you still can by riding in our Boys & Girls Club of Portage County Bike-a-thon event that is taking place on Saturday, August 9th, at Travel Guard.

The Bike-a-thon is one of the three large fundraisers the Boys & Girls Club organizes to raise support for their kids along with the help of volunteers from the community. This event is a great way to support both the health and wellness of the youth in Portage County while also providing more programs for the Boys & Girls Club kids. Who could think of a better way for kids and adults alike to get out of their homes and enjoy cycling through the city or the mesmerizing routes through the countryside.

We invite you to bring your bicycle and helmet as you enjoy a safe ride with your friends and family through the beautiful Portage County countryside during this half-day event.  Perks of registration include a free t-shirt, lunch, drawstring bag, water bottle, and award for all youth participants.  With a large lunch and festival celebration at the end of the rides, this is a family-friendly event that you won’t want to miss!

For more information regarding Boys & Girls Club Bike-a-thon participation, sponsorship, or donations, please call 715-341-4386, email [email protected], visit the website www.bgclubpc.org, or like us on Facebook www.facebook.com/bgclubpc.
