We have known Jim Grubba for over 30 years. During that time, he has shown himself to be kind, caring and dependable. As a police officer he’s demonstrated compassion, judiciousness and dedication to the people of Portage County. These are just a few of his attributes and the key building stones of his character.

When you consider his many years of service and reflect on his career path and experience in law enforcement, it proves that he has built a solid foundation for becoming the next sheriff of Portage County. As a lifelong resident with 34 years of experience in the Sheriff’s Department, he knows and understands the issues and current concerns of our communities. His loyalty to Portage County and his dedication to learning each aspect of law enforcement within the department will ensure that the people of Portage County will have a safe community and good foundation for raising a family, growing their business and enjoying the many wonders our county has to offer with relative peace of mind.

Those who know him well will tell you that Jim is honest, level-headed, an excellent problem-solver, budget savvy and no stranger to hard work. We highly recommend that you cast your vote for Jim Grubba for Sheriff on Aug. 12. If you do, you will not regret your decision.
