Letter: Sorenson Has Impressive Leadership Skills
To the Editor-
As parents who have a son and son-in-law employed in law enforcement, the upcoming election for Portage County Sheriff is something we do not take lightly. We have read about the four candidates for sheriff and have decided, in our opinion, that Kevin Sorenson is the best person for the job.
We have known Kevin for almost 15 years, and have always been impressed with his outgoing personality and ability to make friends in any situation. Kevin has shown his ability to lead and willingness to help others in everyday life.
Seeing Kevin’s involvement in Honor Flight has been a source of pride for us and we believe this type of selflessness is who Kevin is. Earlier in his career at the sheriff’s office, Kevin was inducted into the Wisconsin Police Hall of Fame for heroic actions he took while on duty. This again shows what type of person Kevin is. It is obvious that Kevin has the respect of his co-workers by looking at the large number of fellow employees supporting him and helping out at the campaign events.
Kevin has the ability to make solid decisions that will keep the citizens and tax payers of Portage County safe while still respecting the budget. Kevin’s actions, not words, speak volumes about the great sheriff he will be. Please join us on Aug. 12 and vote Kevin Sorenson for sheriff.
