A Panda Express restaurant is slated to open before winter.
The new 2,300 square- foot restaurant building now stands on a 2- acre parcel of land inside Crossroads Commons between Kohl’s and Starbucks.
Plover Community Development Director Richard Holden said the building will be a standalone structure with a drive-thru, but added there’s room on the site for another building with as many as three different retail stores inside.
Construction costs for the building alone top $720,000, and Holden said local contractors are being used for the project. No official opening date has been set.
Panda Express, founded in 1983 is the largest Asian fast- food chain in the United States and based in California.
