Sheriff’s Candidate Forum Held Tonight

Four candidates for Portage County sheriff will face each other Thursday night during a League of Women Voters candidate forum.
The forum will be held in the Pineries Room of the Portage Co. Library, 1001 Main Street, from 6-8 PM on July 31.
Corrections Officer Robert Golla and retired sheriff’s office lieutenant James Grubba, as well as current sheriff’s office sergeants Mike Lukas and Kevin Sorenson are all seeking the four- year term. All are running as Democrats.
The election primary is August 12, followed by the November 4 general election.
