Hail Damage to Vehicles Expected, National Weather Service Says

The National Weather Service shortly on Friday issued a severe thunderstorm warning until about 3:45.
The NWS reports severe thunderstorms were located near Stevens Point and Plover around 3:45 PM, with more storms to the south. The storm is moving southeast at 10 mph.
Quarter-sized hail is likely, and damage to vehicles is “expected”, according to the alert. Motorists should move their vehicle into a garage or other protected area if possible, and all residents are asked to move to an interior room on the lowest level of a building.
