August 1
Not Energetic Enough: A 45 year-old man was cited with retail theft at 11:32 PM after he tried to steal a $1.99 energy drink from the Blue Top Shell on Church Street.
Gas Thief: An employee from Northside BP on Church Street reported to police at 12:53 PM that someone stole $64 in gas.
August 2
Fence Damage: A 29 year-old woman called police at 8:20 AM to report some damaged her property fence on the 2200 block of Madison Street.
Fleet Farm Thief: A 28 year-old woman was cited with retail theft after police say she tried to steal socks and belts from Fleet Farm at 12 PM.
OWI: Police arrested a 24 year-old man for operating while intoxicated at 10:17 PM during a traffic stop at Stanley and Fremont streets.
Mailbox Fatality: A 67 year-old man called authorities to report at 4:16 AM several mailboxes were damaged near Ole River Drive and Highway 66 in the Town of Hull.
Mailbox Fatalities: Portage Co. Deputies were called at 5:26 AM after a 60 year-old Town of Plover man told deputies at someone damaged his mailbox in the 1700 block of Wood Duck Drive. Two other mailboxes were damaged along the same road, as well as a mailbox on the 3200 block of Linwood Springs.
August 3
Hungry Thief: An employee of Topper’s Pizza called police at 3 AM to report someone stole wings and pizza. Value of theft is unknown.
