Sex Offender to be Released

The Stevens Point Police Department says a sex offender is being released into the community on August 12.
Anthony D. Turner, 46, was convicted in 1995 of second degree sexual assault of a child. His victim include underage female teenagers. Turner will be living in Stevens Point and is required to avoid unsupervised contact with minors, have no contact with the victim, not to consumer alcohol or drugs and stay out of taverns and liquor stores.
According to a news release from SPPD, Turner has the potential to re-offend.
