City and count clerks have begun the process of compiling vote tabulations from e area for partisan primary race.

The state offices of governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer and Congress are up for election, as well as State Assembly.

On the county level, the offices of sheriff, coroner, and clerk of circuit court were voted on today.

Polls closed at 8 PM. If the 15 percent turnout estimated by the Governmental Accountability Board is accurate, early results should be in early.

“You still have to go through an reconcile the votes,” said County Clerk Shirley Simonis. “But yeah, fairly early we might see something. Town of Sharon already called in- they think they’re seeing a 35 percent turnout there.”
