Sorenson Continues Climb to Top for Sheriff

Sheriff results at 9:20 PM-
Kevin Sorenson continues to lead the pack of Democratic candidates for Portage Co. Sheriff Primary with 232 votes and 4 precincts reporting. Fellow contender James Grubba has 112 votes; Mike Lukas comes in third with 110; and Rob Golla has 12.
But the race could still take a turn, as rural areas where Lukas has strong support has not yet reported in- neither have established neighborhoods where Grubba is popular.
Sorenson has cited a new jail; community outreach and curbing illegal narcotics among his priorities.
