One Face Charges In Monday Morning Robberies
By Patrick Lynn
The Stevens Point Police Department has requested charges be filed against Kenneth J. Groholski, 29 of Plover, in connection with a series of gas station robberies in July and August.
Police suspect Groholski is a primary suspect in twice robbing Southside BP, 3209 Church St., on July 21 and August 11. He is also suspected of attempting to rob Westside Mobil, 232 W. Clark Street on August 11.
Groholski was the passenger in a vehicle pulled over by police on Michigan Avenue Monday morning, blocking off an entire block of the roadway between Delaney and Heffron streets for less than an hour in what was pegged by Stevens Point police as a “high risk” pullover. Groholski and the driver, who was later released, were both taken into custody for questioning.

Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Joe Gruber at 715-346-1518.
