City-Times Staff
Four people are in the hospital today after a Saturday night car accident.
Portage Co. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-39 just north of the 2nd Street exit in the Town of Hull.
Deputies found a 2001 Chevrolet minivan had been southbound when it lost control, entered the west ditch, and crashed into several trees. Four of the vehicle’s five occupants were transported to Saint Michael’s Hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious. The 37 year-old male driver from Bloomington, MN was taken into custody for suspicion of causing injury while intoxicated.
The crash remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol were determined to be factors.

One lane of the interstate was closed for approximately 1 ½ hours while the crash was investigated.
