Stevens Point Firefighters last week solicited donations from passers-by at Main & Division streets for the department’s annual “Fill the Boot” drive to benefit the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
According to firefighter Jason Pettis, the department raised a record of more than $10,000- in only two days and only from passing motorists.
