Speeding: A 25 year-old man was warned at 1:22 AM for “unreasonable/imprudent speed” at Lake Meyers Road and County Trunk Q in Amherst Junction.
Busted Taillights: A 40 year-old man was warned by deputies after being pulled over for defective tail lamps near Highway 10 West and I-39 at 1:55 AM.
Mailbox Fatalities: A 55 year-old woman reported someone damaged the mailbox at her Ridgeland Court home in Custer at 7:28 AM; at 7:40 AM a 66 year-old man reported damage to his mailbox at his Five Corner Road home in Amherst Junction.
An Early Halloween Prank? Sheriff Deputies were notified at 12:52 PM that someone stole the street sign from Boy Scout Lane. The street is the site of a local ghost story.
Harassment: A 22 year-old woman reported being harassed by a 23 year-old man at a Main St. home in Amherst Junction around 4:27 PM.
August 23
Car Stereo Thief: A 36 year-old woman reported someone stole a car stereo from a vehicle parked at her Torun Road residence at 4:49 PM. Value of loss is not immediately known.
Driving in Style: A 22 year-old woman was warned for having no bumper and a loud exhaust during a traffic stop at Northpoint Drive and Michigan Avenue at 10:49 PM.
August 24
Gas Drive-Off: Plover police were called after motorist drove off without paying for gas from the 2600 block of Plover Road. Value of theft was not immediately available.
Texting & Driving: A 33 year-old woman was warned for texting while driving near Highway 161 and Highway 10 at 10:28 PM.
