2014 Wisconsin Fall Hunting and Trapping Forecast is Now Available

With a number of 2014 fall hunting and trapping seasons just around the corner, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will once again offer a Fall Hunting and Trapping Forecast. The fall forecast provides a great deal of information and helpful tips for all types of hunting and trapping.
“The fall forecast is the perfect way to get ready for another fall hunting and trapping season,” said DNR Sec. Cathy Stepp. “With new tools like FFLIGHT, we’ve made it easier than ever to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.”

Highlights for the 2014 fall season include the FFLIGHT Programandnew early teal season. Deer hunters will find everything they need to know for the 2014 season in this year’s forecast, from updated deer management units to helpful hunting forecasts. The 71-page forecast can be viewed HERE or on dnr.wi.gov, search keyword “hunt.”
Those searching for public hunting and trapping grounds are reminded to check out the department’s Public Access Lands atlas. The atlas includes all DNR properties, as well as nearly all federal and county-owned lands. You can download and print these maps free of charge from your home computer. Hunting and fishing licenses can be purchased through the Online Licensing Center on the DNR website and at all authorized license agents, or by calling toll-free 1-877-LICENSE (1-877-945-4236).
