Letter: All Invited to Participate in Alliance for Youth
To the Editor-
Portage County Alliance for Youth is an all volunteer group of those who care about youth and work in schools, churches and youth groups as well as parents and other community citizens who care about youth development. The first meeting of the fall will be held on September 11 at 8:30 AM. They meet at Community First Bank on Hwy 10 East, Stevens Point.
PCAY has promoted MORP, the post prom party, and promoted parents signing an agreement in their schools to monitor youth and their behaviors so there won’t be serious or deadly consequences. They also provide presentations on risk issues for youth for all ages as well as promoting Developmental Assets which is a positive way of helping youth become mature responsible adults.
