Kevin and Mary Tepp, owners of Post Road Pub, have challenged Archie’s Still to a challenge.
The couple recently held its 10th year in business on Post Road with its successful “Barriversary” celebration, and along with the party took donations of food for area pantries.
The bar took in $2,500 worth of nonperishable items, which was donated to St. Vincent DePaul, which in turn will be divided between three area food pantries.
Throughout the course of the Post Road Pub event, the Tepp’s heard about a similar food drive at Archie’s Still, 2317 Division Street, and having decided to challenge the bar.
“Instead of the ‘ice bucket challenge’, Post Road Pub hereby challenges Archie’s Still customers to meet or beat’ our donation,” said Mary Tepp in a press release.
Tepp pointed out her bar gathered the food within 24 hours and Archie’s has until September 14th at 3 PM, during which time the gang at Archie’s will hold a party wrapping up the collection.
