Layout FlagJason L. “Jake” Simcakoski of Stevens Point passed away Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Tomah, WI.

Jason was born September 15, 1978 in Stevens Point. He is the son of Marvin and Linda (Duda) Simcakoski of Stevens Point. He attended local schools and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1997. Jason entered the United States Marine Corp on February 24, 1998 in Milwaukee, WI. He reached the rank of Corporal, receiving the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 1 Star, Certificate of Commendation, the Rifle Sharp Shooters Badge and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on February 23, 2002.

His marriage to Heather Fluty took place on June 6, 2010 in Stevens Point. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Heather survives. Jason worked alongside his father Marv and his two brothers for Simmy Builders.

He enjoyed football, especially the University of Oregon Ducks and the Seattle Seahawks. He also had a love for animals and wood working.

For those who knew Jason, he loved to have fun and make you laugh. In lieu of flowers, memorials and contributions for his daughter Anaya’s education would be appreciated. Survivors include his wife Heather and their daughter Anaya of Stevens Point.

His parents Marvin and Linda Simcakoski of Stevens Point. One sister Michelle (David) Togstad of Stevens Point. Two brothers Chad (Lexi) Simcakoski of Stevens Point and Matt Simcakoski of St. Paul, MN. His Maternal Grandparents Richard and Shirley Duda of Stevens Point. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday September 5, 2014 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2911 Plover Rd. Family and friends may call from 3:00 P.M.

Until the time of services at the Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date. The Pisarski Community Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
