By Patrick Lynn
Stevens Point police have released more details on a short high speed pursuit Friday that ended in a minor crash at a BP gas station.
Shortly after 1:10 PM on Sept. 5, police located Pamela A. Stenerson, 44 of Neenah, on I-39 near the Division Street exit. Police had been concerned for Stenerson’s welfare but instead of pulling over she led police on a brief high-speed pursuit for almost two miles along the Bus. 51 corridor. The chase came to an end after Stenerson crashed into a metal safety guard near a gas pump at the Division St. location of BP.
Stenerson has been charged with fleeing an officer, reckless driving/endangering safety and operating while intoxicated, 3rd offense.
There were no passengers in the vehicle and no one was injured.
