Layout FlagRichard F. Bablitch age 87, of the Town of Linwood, passed away early Saturday morning September 6, 2014, peacefully with his family at his side.

Richard was under the care of Ministry Home Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday September 9, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church.  Rev. Dennis Stanchik will officiate.  Burial with full military honors will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.  Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 10:00 – 10:45 AM on Tuesday at the church.  Shuda
Funeral Services are assisting the family.  A memorial in lieu of flowers will be established in his name for Ministry Home Hospice Care.
Richard was born May 23, 1927 in Stevens Point, the son of the late Fred and Grace (Moyer) Bablitch.  He graduated from P.J.Jacobs High School in 1945.  Richard entered the United States Navy in May of 1945 and was honorably discharged on July 5, 1946.  He returned to the area after serving his country, and began working at Wisconsin Bell, he worked there for 35 years retiring in 1982.
Richard married Eleanor Hintz on January 12, 1952 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, but most of all loved spending time with his family.  Richard was the proud owner and operator of Rocky Run Acres Nursery for many years, and enjoyed providing beautiful Christmas Trees to area residents.
Richard is survived by his wife of 62 years Eleanor and their two sons: Mark (Patrice) Bablitch, Sobieski, WI; Matt (Gwynne) Bablitch, Stevens Point.  6 grandchildren: 1st LT Alexander, Nicholas, Annalise, Jacob, Nicole, and Russell.
