Alan “Al” Sadowski age 60, of Stevens Point passed away with his loving family and friends at his side, on Thursday September 4, 2014, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Al will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. Clayton Elmhorst will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives will gather to share memories from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Shuda- Plover Funeral Home. The Moose Lodge of which he was a member will hold a ritual at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Following the Moose ritual a general rosary led by Fr. Elmhorst will be prayed. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 – 10:45 AM Wednesday at the church.
Al was born in Chicago, the son of Walter and Blanche Sadowski. He attended schools in the Chicago area and graduated from J.B. Conant High School. He moved to Stevens Point in 1976, Al married Sandy Zblewski at the little church of the West in Las Vegas in 2000.
Al worked as a commercial glazier for over 30 years. He started out as a glazier, then worked at Consolidated Paper for 13 years before returning to Glazier Project Manager.
Al was a member of the Moose Lodge, and a lifetime member of the Good Sam Club. He enjoyed traveling, camping in his motor coach, trips to Mexico, riding his Harley for over 35 years, and going to country fests. He will be missed by many friends who depended on him at Hodag. He loved the outdoors, and his old German Shepard and buddy Sizzer, his Harley, John Deere, and old jeep with the top and doors off. He enjoyed going to Badger Football games, saying the crazy college kids were entertaining!
Al is survived by his wife Sandy, his step-children: Nikki (Shane) Frostman, Stevens Point; Brent Chojnacki, FL; Eric (Mandi) Chojnacki, Amherst Jct; Lindsay (Karl) Bennett Jr, VA. Grandchildren: Morgan, Allyson, Cadence, Karl III, and Christian. His brother Dennis and his sister Renee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronnie.
The family would like to thank the UW-Madison Cancer Center, Marshfield Clinic Cancer Center, St. Michaels Hospital and all the Doctors and Nurses, Ministry Hospice.
The compassion, prayers, love, and support provided to Al was immeasurable. Also a big thanks to Monsignor Jeffery Burrill, Rev. Dennis Lynch, Rev. Greg Bohren, Rev Marion Talaga, and Rev. Clayton Elmhorst for their support, laughter, and prayers.
