Robert (Bob)  L. Warfield, age 60, of Stevens Point, died September 6, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a brief illness.

Bob was born July 2, 1954 to the late Walter & Mildred (Petree) Warfield in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Chicago area, attended the local schools and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1972.

He married Laurie Sauer on March 27, 1976 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Shortly after, they moved to Wisconsin.

Bob worked at Moodie Trucking for a number of years. He was currently employed at Conway Freight Trucking, where he was a ‘One Million Miles Distinguished Driver’.

Bob was a Harley & classic car enthusiast. He also had an avid interest in history & politics. Bob’s family was truly the pride and joy of his life. He and his wife enjoyed going on numerous motorcycle trips across the country and spending time at their cabin in Tomahawk. Bob loved spending time with his son, talking about their beloved Chicago Bears, Ford Mustangs, and doing home projects together. Bob truly adored his ‘precious’ grandson, Cameron.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie of Stevens Point; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Staci Warfield of Stevens Point; grandson, Cameron; brother, Bill (JoEllen) Warfield of Indiana; sister, Ginny (Dave) Moodie of Stevens Point; and sister, Bette (Bob) Pycraft of Michigan. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Charles Sauer of Illinois; & sister-in-law, Kathy Welk of Iola, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents & mother-in-law, Betty Sauer.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church, Plover with Rev. Robert Pycraft officiating. Visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9 and on Wednesday 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.bostonfuneralhome.net.

Bob enjoyed life, family members, and many friends.  He will be missed but not forgotten.
