Sex Offender to be Released in Stevens Point

Stevens Point police today have announced the release of a sex offender on September 16.

Jeffrey M. Woodworth, 38, will be living in the City of Stevens Point upon his release. He has been incarcerated in Oshkosh since being convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child in 2006. Woodworth was also previously convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child in Brown County in 1997. His victims include minor males.

Woodworth’s history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend, but currently has no pending charges against him.

Woodworth is described as a white male, approximately 6’2″ and 188 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is required register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life. As a condition of his release, Woodworth is to have no unsupervised contact with minors or his victim, avoid taverns/bars/liquor stores and not to consume alcohol or drugs. He also must comply with requirements of electronic monitoring and have regular face- to- face contact with law enforcement.
