Letter: Vets, Auxiliary Thank All for Another Poppy Drive Season
To the Editor-
The members of the Greater Plover Area Veterans of Foreign Wars and its’ Auxiliary thank everyone involved in our recent Poppy Drive. This includes the many business places who gave so generously for this cause.
Also, to the many individuals who gave at the various locations where the Poppy Drive was held. The Poppies are made by disabled veterans, they are then purchased by the VFW and distributed by veterans, the proceeds are directed back to the veterans through the veterans hospitals, and VFW programs such as Unmet Needs and Operations Uplink, to name a few.
There is no profit for our organization. All the proceeds go back to the veterans in need.
