MSTC to Offer Free GED® Greparation Sessions
For the City-Times
GED® FastTrack will be offered at Mid-State Technical College’s (MSTC) Stevens Point Campus Mondays –Thursdays from September 29 through November 13. The 11 AM to noon session will be held in Room 413.
GED FastTrack provides an initial assessment to determine student readiness level, a review of and instruction in all four test subject areas (Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies), guidance through the process, and the opportunity to take the GED Practice Test in preparation of your official GED exams. The GED FastTrack program is free, though there is a fee to take the official GED tests.
The official GED tests are also offered locally at MSTC’s Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids campuses, and the Adams County Center. The new Stevens Point Campus will also begin offering GED testing sometime this fall. Wisconsin residents at least 18 1/2 years of age or whose 9th grade class has graduated are eligible for GED testing if they are not currently enrolled in high school or received a high school diploma. Each GED test is $33.75, or $135 for all four tests, though students may be eligible for funding from the MSTC Foundation to help pay for testing. Photo identification is required prior to each test.
