Suzanne Lukas, of Deerbrook, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 73 years old. She was born on March 3, 1941 in Antigo a daughter of Glenn and Emma (Lauby) Jicha.

She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Merrill with the class of 1959 and graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 1963 with a degree in Medical Technology.

On July 18, 1964 she married Stan Lukas at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. They resided in Menomonee Falls for 15 years and returned to Antigo in 1980 where she raised her four sons.

She was employed at the Antigo Medical Building as a medical assistant and manager.

She was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva where she served on the parish council.

She enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and horseback riding.

She will be remembered as a fabulous mother, grandmother, wife and friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, three sons, Scott (Diane) Lukas, Janesville, Michael (Nicki) Lukas, Almond, Mark (Jennifer) Lukas, Hudson; a daughter-in-law, Kris Lukas, Libertyville, Illinois; ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Steve Lukas in 2012.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Rev. Jeremiah Worman concelebrating. Burial will take place in St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 – 10 a.m. on Monday also at the funeral home.

A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

After a long courageous battle she is now at peace in heaven with the Boss.
