PJ’s – SentryWorld is truly a celebration of Wisconsin and everything it’s known for, and as of Monday, September 22, 2014, the new restaurant will open its doors to the public.
PJ’s – SentryWorld opens to the public beginning with lunch at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 22. Regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will be open year-round and will also feature a classic Wisconsin tradition—the Friday fish fry. The inaugural fish fry at PJ’s – SentryWorld will be held Friday, September, 26.
PJ’s – SentryWorld is named after PJ Jacobs and pays homage to the Stevens Point man who gave back to his hometown in so many ways. Learn more about the man behind the name here.
In terms of atmosphere, PJ’s – SentryWorld features a Wisconsin-inspired theme to create a warm, inviting and relaxed atmosphere where you’ll feel comfortable gathering for lunch or dinner. Read more and watch a video on SentryWorld’s new dining experience here.
The menu at PJ’s – SentryWorld is a tribute to the flavors of Wisconsin, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Menu items range from fried perch bites, hearty beer cheese soup or venison chili, potato and bacon salad, handmade burgers, an all in-house made Reuben, wood oven maple chicken, daily blue plate specials and desserts including warm apple pie with Wisconsin sharp cheddar or a Point Root Beer float.
You’ll also find a wide variety of soda, wine, beer and cocktails to pair with your meal. Among the more than 25 tap beers served is PJ’s White Ale, a private label exclusively brewed by Point Brewery for PJ’s – SentryWorld.
“Wisconsin’s agriculture industry is showcased in this menu,” said Brandon McCormick-Guthu, PJ’s – SentryWorld executive chef. “Every item has some sort of tie to Wisconsin. The flavors will be comforting, not overshadowed by exotic spices.”
An exciting element featured at PJ’s – SentryWorld is a wood oven, used for handmade pizza and other entrees. The pizzas are a fusion of Neapolitan-style and Wisconsin comfort featuring a thin crust with great authentic flavors. Diners will be able to watch pizzas bake in the 900-degree wood oven.
“We’ve made good on our promise of keeping a community and family focus at PJ’s – SentryWorld. You will feel welcomed and comfortable joining us for a quick lunch or for an evening meal.” said Pete McPartland, Sentry Insurance president, CEO and chairman of the board.
PJ Jacobs’ photo adorns a column in the restaurant, looking over patrons who enjoy a meal with their families. We invite you to dine with us at PJ’s – SentryWorld and experience it all for yourself.
