Edwina B. Damrau, 79
Edwina B. Damrau, age 79, of Plover, died at home on October 7, 2014.
Edwina was born January 20, 1935 to the late John & Lillian (Trzebiatowski) Wierzba in rural Amherst. She grew up in the Amherst area, attended grade school, and graduated Amherst High School.
She married Orville Damrau on April 22, 1966 in Wautoma, WI.
Edwina worked for Sentry Insurance as a Typist before devoting her life to her family. After her children had grown, she found work at Point Sporting Goods, Stevens Point. Edwina later became employed as an assembly line worker at Donaldson Co. until retiring.
Edwina was a family oriented loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandson. She enjoyed the simple things life had to offer. In her earlier years, her quiet nature did not stop her from enjoying downhome polka dancing and bowling. In her later years, Edwina didn’t mind testing her casino luck every once and a while. In her spare time she enjoyed cheering on the Packers and Brewers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Orv Damrau; children, Mark Damrau of Plover and Michelle (Donald) Warzynski of Omro, WI and grandson, Bryce; siblings, Julian (Romaine) Wierzba, Jerry (Arlene) Wierzba, Joan Yenter, Marie (Tom) Groshek and Rita Cline; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Regina, Bob, and Betty.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 10, 2014 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Plover, with Rev. David E. Ficken officiating. Visitation will precede at the church on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held in Plover Cemetery.
